Renaissance Hotel - Missouri

Sharing pics of the Renaissance Hotel experience I had before. It is one of the best hotels that I've been to. This one is near Lambert Airport Missouri. The hotel room rate was $135.00 per night.
I had this room for myself. Two queen sized beds? Yes!... For 2 weeks I had the luxury of choosing if I wanna sleep on the other one near the bathroom or the one near the window. Those white sheets are sooooooo great to sleep into. They are changed everyday. Everyday was always a challenge to bring yourself up and get to work. Yes, those are my things.... Kinda messy because this was taken hours after we touched down. I was arranging my things.

The immaculate bathroom with bathtub.

This is the view outside the window. A view of St. Louis' Highway 70.

What happens to your Online Presence After you Die?

For the last few months, I have been spending more time in the internet than going out and doing things. This made me miss opportunities for meeting new people and new friends. I regret to say that I spent more time Facebook Stalking, Blog reading, picture uploading and virtual Tweeting. Heck, I know some people who can't live a day without Facebook or Twitter!
Now, have you ever thought what happens to your internet presence after your death? Are all your emails gone forever? Who will update the status of your Twitter or Facebook now that you are gone? Actually, I happen to have a dilemma on who will post articles on my blog and what will happen to my domain because I know that after I fail to pay the yearly fee it will be lost forever! Gee! I'm so OC!

I guess you have not thought about this situation considering the fact that many of us would not want to die nor even think about it. It's just so morbid. But we also need to know that dying is inevitable and we cannot avoid such situation.

So, there are actually 2 options to deal with your internet presence after your death.

1. Dont worry about it since it will not affect you in any way! Of course, your gone, why do you still need to stress about it.
2. Or make sure to create a system or last-will testament so that your near ones step up and does whatever you wished to be done on all your online accounts.

TIME has an interesting article on this.

As people spend more time at keyboards, there's less being stored away in dusty attics for family and friends to hang on to. Letters have become e-mails. Diaries have morphed into blogs. Photo albums have turned virtual. The pieces of our lives that we put online can feel as eternal as the Internet itself, but what happens to our virtual identity after we die? It's a thorny question, and for now, the answer depends on which sites you use. Privacy is a major issue. So are company policies to delete inactive accounts.
Hmmm.... should I go back to Scrapbooking instead?

Giant Sculptures

I dunno what these giant stone sculptures are infront of the Emr headquarters office in Missouri but since the company is a mechanical and engineering firm, I guess these are motors.... or parts of motors. The first one was taken during summer while the other was during winter. Cool eh!? ^_^

Potipot Adventure with the FA Team

I photo blogged last month about a weekend I spent with Sese, Charm and my former teammates. It was a weekend well spent. We went to Potipot - a small island in the province of Candelaria, Zambales. From the scorching heat of the city, we rented a van and drove more than 6 hours all the way to Zambales through NLEX.

After many hours of falling asleep and waking up to the team's laughter...... we finally arrived at the Dawal Resort. The team rented an over night room good for 6 people. The resort is clean and not crowded. The place is very cozy and great for relaxation.
But this is really not what we came here for. We came for that island not far away.

To get to the island, we rented a boat good for 6 people for Php400.00 pesos back and forth na yun. And 100.00 each as entrance to the Potipot Island.

This is a first time in this island for everyone of us. Charm has this goal to get a photograph of the Sunset and Sunrise so we agreed to go the island immediately after we arrived. We are not gonna waste a sunset with the look of that lovely white beach.

We were not dissapointed kahit na sobrang layo ng nilakbay namen para makarating lang dito. It was a journey worth all the hardships. The small island pristine. The water so clear.

And the sunset!!.... Oh that beautiful sunset......
I will never forget that for the rest of my life.

Daybreakers(2010)

Living in a world where vampires are the dominant species is about as safe as bare backing a 5 dollar whore. - Elvis

I have been pestering my brother to find me a copy of this film and download it to his PSP for me to watch. The premise is so intriguing that I really have to watch this film. Plus it's a vampire movie! ^_^

For lovers of the Vampire genre like me, Daybreakers offers a flawed and thoroughly gore and bloody fun. Good thing that the movie is shot in a midnight mode (the bluish background) else your screen will be too bloody effin red. There are guts and blood everywhere. Brains blowing, flesh tearin' and heads flying. This movie is not for the faint of heart.

The movie is set in the year 2019. A mysterious plague has swept over the earth, transforming the majority of the world’s population into vampires. Humans are now an endangered, second-class species – forced into hiding as they are hunted and farmed for vampire consumption to the brink of extinction.

The "new normal" is sharply and amusingly depicted as being eerily similar to current living with the important difference that the populace go about their business at night and enjoy shots of blood in their coffee. Aging, famine, and disease have been eradicated, however sunlight is lethal. There is also still a class system, with destitute vampires who cannot afford a regular fix of blood turning into violent, deformed creatures called "subsiders".

The vampires' insatiable appetite for blood has driven the residual human population to the point of extinction and left the blood supply almost exhausted. Enter Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke), a scientist working for a massive pharmaceutical conglomerate headed by the evil Charles Bromley (Sam Neill). His job is to find a blood substitute to ward off mass starvation. Dalton secretly sympathizes with the remaining humans and  hopes that his work will result in their persecution being halted. After connecting with some human survivors, he realizes that there may be an even more radical solution to the problem. However, not every solution is profitable. - from imdb.

The movie casts Ethan Hawke (Gattaca) as scientist Edward Dalton, Sam Neill(Jurassic Park) as greedy Charles Bromley and William Defoe (Spiderman) as the vampire-turned-human Elvis.

Miss you Like Crazy (2010)

Even though it's been so long.... my love for you keeps goin' strong... I remember the things that we used to do... A kiss in the rain 'til the sun shine through... I try to deny it but I'm still in love with you.

" Time is meaningless when you are in love..."

Last night was one of those rare nights I get to spend quality time with Sweetiepie♥. For me, quality time was snuggling beside him inside the cinema appreciating a great movie. As usual, for him quality time was sleeping beside me. ^_^  That's really understandable if you only know how hard his work is.

We watched Miss you like Crazy, a film directed by Cathy Garcia Molina and stars John Loyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. John Lloyd plays the character of Alan Alvarez, a young urban professional who, despite coming from a middle class family, is a mainstay in the high society scene, courtesy of his girlfriend played by Maricar Reyes. Bea, on the other hand, plays the character of Mia Samonte, a typical young breadwinner who decided to work abroad to support her family. Bea’s unusual habit of writing on stones to express her feelings plays an instrumental part in making Alan and Mia’s paths meet.

Bea and John Loyd's acting was commendable. The chemistry of their love team is still there. Although the movie was not as great as One More Chance (Popoy and Basha), they still moved me. I cried buckets of tears when Allan (August) after 2 years of searching for his love, saw Mia got proposed to and she accepted. I cried tears for all their mishaps in trying to find happiness in each other while at the same time trying not to hurt the people in their complicated lives. I cried bucket of tears when I feel the same as Mia felt, never forgiving her father for choosing his "kabit" over their family making her the breadwinner.
Miss you like crazy is a wonderful post-Valentine treat for hopeless romantics like moi. ♥ The theme song was sung by Eric Santos and another was sung by Aiza Seguerra. I like Aiza's version.
